A session groups one party's orders at a table. The next party starts a new session and sees nothing from the previous one.
1Session start
The first order from a table opens a session (or joins the open one). The session token lives only on the guest's phone.
2Bill request
One active request per session; tapping again returns the same request. The cashier chooses “Print table bill”, “Seen” or “Dismiss”, and the guest sees each step. A request never closes the table or marks it paid.
3Ending the session at the register
“End table session” (not while an order awaits acceptance). Orders in the kitchen are marked served and open bill requests are settled.
4Automatic idle close
A safety net if the cashier forgets: after the restaurant's idle minutes (240 by default) and only when nothing is waiting or being prepared.
5After closing
Guests still see the final bill for the “invoice display minutes” (15 by default), then the links stop working on their phones. Nothing is deleted: orders and sales stay for the restaurant.
